Anyhoo.... don't engage with them, just say no thank you, I'm not interested and shut the door. It's also against the law to not allow them in if they have a warrant (so called "wet signatures" are a fallacy they can be printed), you also have a duty to assist them with inspecting the equipment as required.

I think this is great. This is clearly an inefficient use of resources all round. And the more it happens, the better, I say. Because, at some point, it will hopefully go to court, and then it will all blow up, and be reported in the media more widely. This is really a disgraceful waste of effort, and very poor management. Someone senior needs to be sacked, and the only way it will happen is through visibility. There are so many people doing things that are just unnecessary, being paid to not actually do work, create anything, or take society forwards. Its a joke. And these are, in all likelihood, public servant, who are being paid by taxpayers. The sheer amount of waste here is mind boggling. As taxpayers (never mind who wrong it is as a point of law), we should all be up in arms.
